Lens Inserter

The lens inserter was developed as a surgical tool to insert new lenses into the eye of patients with cataracts. The design incorporates features that allow the surgeon to correctly place their fingers and thumb on the inserter during surgery. Tactile feedback was important to the surgeon because they primarily used a microscope to guide the insertion of the lens into the patient's eye.
